Cleaning and Disinfecting an Inflatable Water Slide
Start out by expanding the slide to its full size. This will allow you to thoroughly clean all of the surfaces to prevent the buildup of mold and mildew. Put the water slide on a surface, such as a tarp, that can protect the bottom from the ground so it doesn’t get dirty.
Spray the inflatable water slide with a garden hose to remove any loose dirt. Then wash it with vinyl cleanser, if you have it. You can spray the cleanser on a cloth or pour it directly on the slide. If you don’t have vinyl cleanser, you can use a solution of mild dish soap and water.
Rub down all surfaces on the slide with a soft mop. If there are areas that are stained or covered with mud and grime, you may need to use more vinyl cleanser or dish soap solution. Continue brushing until the areas are clean.
Rinse off the soap with a garden hose. Then leave the slide out in its expanded state so it can air dry. You can use a cloth to dry areas with layers and folds that may be slow to dry out on their own.
Once the slide has dried, spray it with an antiseptic. Apply it to all surfaces to kill any germs that are left after the slide has been cleaned.
